SUBJECT: It’s Disappointing If You Do This

I have learnt my lessons.

And I won’t repeat the same mistakes. I will go straight to the point today because I want you to get the message very fast so you won’t repeat the mistakes.

For years I have always been this all-rounder guy, and I could do a number of things well. Well, maybe because I built several relevant skill-sets over the years, I felt I should take on every opportunity as they come, especially when they pattern to my skill-set. Plus, I have got this growth mindset in that I challenge myself to learn a craft and produce something.

I continued and got several admirers because I could do a number of things well. I was like Leonardo Da Vinci in my head. I felt like a star. But it wasn’t for long when I realized, I got exhausted more; plus, I couldn’t account for what I did with my time..

Until the day I heard about PARETO  PRINCIPLE.  It means 20% of your effort regenerate 80% of your results and vice versa. It also says 20% of your customers bring in 80% of your sale. Then, I started thinking of what my core was. I wanted to stop majoring in minor. I got a sheet of paper and started listing the things that would have the least impact in me.

One….

Two…

Three…

I kept listing.

Then, I stopped focusing on them. I stopped taking jobs on them. I delegate things I know will have least impact in me. And I focused on my major. I followed closely with my listed top 20% things… And the results became massive. I started connecting with several influencers, got bigger gigs, made more impact.

You see pal, it’s disappointing to do everything. It is very disappointing to do what you shouldn’t have done really well. Don’t waste that time. Focus on the few things you should be doing. Delegate what you shouldn’t be doing. This secret will make you richer, healthier, creative, stronger and more purposeful.

Don’t take this advice for granted. I mean it. Say several NO’s to things you shouldn’t be doing. I know this is a hard pill to swallow. But try it. It will be one of the most pleasant pills you’ve taken soon.

Talk later.
